Comedy > Biography
Hailing from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire (a town otherwise famous
for international terrorists, fake kidnaps and 'Britain's Best Market')
charming northerner Craig is a talented and driven newcomer to the
circuit, undoubtedly destined for greatness.
For the past three years Craig has cut his comedy
teeth as resident compere at award-winning London club
'The Funny Side...of Covent Garden' sharing a stage
with some of the very best comedy acts in the business
including Harry Hill, Stewart Lee and even Hollywood
legend Robin Williams.
He has rapidly become a master of the compere's art
too; able to turn any crowd from a lacklustre mob into
a clapping, cheering, delirious audience ready to laugh
all night.
Having honed his talents as an MC introducing others,
he's now bringing his impressive stage presence and
flair for audience banter to his very own stand-up set.
An instant crowd pleaser, Murray's charismatic,
mock-confrontational style makes him popular with
audiences wherever he gigs.
Craig is also an accomplished actor and presenter and
graduate of The Court Theatre Training Company.
In addition to gigging around the country, last year he
appeared in the critically acclaimed comedy play
‘Umbrage Swain and the Magical Diamond of Ramtutiti’
and compered a number of ‘Spank’ shows at The Edinburgh
Festival. He recently starred a comedy film alongside
Adam Hills and Brendon Burns and recorded a comedy pilot
with the BBC.
